ONE || Coco

Like all truly good Pixar movies, Coco will make you feel all the things and cry all the tears. By the end, my face was so swollen that I scared everyone waiting for the next showing. It was so good, though, and it’s worth the ugly crying.

A word of caution: The short before the movie is horrible and 20 minutes long and 100% WORTH SKIPPING IF YOU CAN. It made me so mad that I wanted to walk out of the theater without even seeing the movie.

TWO || Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Finally, a movie the truly represents the South in all its idiosyncratic glory. It’s a funny, moving black comedy, and while I loved every minute of this movie, it’s tough to watch. One minute you’ll be laughing out loud, and the next you’ll be clutching your pearls.

THREE || “Glue” by Fickle Friends

Fickle Friends is Brian’s latest find, and it’s pretty catchy. More ’80s synth pop from the Brits, but we can’t get enough. Fickle Friends’ sound is The 1975 meets Haim.

“Glue” is particularly great. The band only has singles out currently; however, they’re all worth a listen. Brian said, “This is how I’m finishing 2017.”

FOUR || “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer”

Y’all remember “Party Up” from DMX? In all its 1999 glory? You know: “Y’all gon’ make me lose my mind / up in here, up in here”

Well, Christmas came early because DMX released his “Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer” cover this week. You’re welcome.

FIVE || Upbra®

Bras. For boobs. It’s good. Read the rest of my thorough and honest review.
